Only you can reserve your natural rights.
Living jurisdiction is declared in written and spoken words. If you fail to declare private living jurisdiction under Common Law (Law of the Land), public legal actors will presume you are an accommodation party in joinder to a dead artificial person NAME under Admiralty/Maritime rules (Law of the Sea).
Any registered NAME that joins a given appellation and a family name—often with Mr/Mrs/Miss—forms an artificial legal person. MR JOHN DOE and John Doe are both dead artificial persons. That NAME may be called person, ens legis, trade-name, vessel in commerce, transmitting utility, ward of the State, estate trust, franchise, debtor, and more. All such fictions are debtors by default—created without productive capacity.
Grammar and agency
On documents, use proper grammar and reserve rights, e.g. By: John: of the family Doe. All Rights Reserved.
On commercial paper, separate yourself from the fiction by an unambiguous living declaration as authorised agent, invoking agency law so the agent is not liable for the principal when agency is clear: By: John: of the family Doe. Authorised Agent for MR JOHN DOE.
Signature versus autograph
A living man or woman is not evidenced by a mere “signature.” Under UCC §3-401 a signature may be any mark, name, or symbol adopted by a “person”—including machine marks. A signature only hints at something not present; it is not proof of substance. Signing as the NAME is dead status under maritime commercial jurisdiction.
An autograph is a graphic from your living hand as a sentient, flesh-and-blood man or woman—evidence of substance and living capacity. A thumbprint is the ultimate autograph. It declares living standing under Common Law.
Ink colours traditionally associated with life/sea/royalty are red, blue, or purple; black is associated with debt and death. For handwritten autographs, the declaration of standing matters more than colour; a thumbprint autograph is customarily in red (lifeblood).

That language reserves the right not to be compelled to perform under any contract, commercial agreement, or bankruptcy you did not enter knowingly, voluntarily, and intentionally—and refuses liability for compelled benefits of unrevealed contracts or bankruptcies.
UCC 1-308 provides that a party who performs or assents under explicit reservation of rights does not prejudice the rights reserved. Words such as “without prejudice” or “under protest” suffice. Valid reservation preserves rights and prevents loss by waiver or estoppel; failure to reserve can bar later assertion of waivable rights. A rubber stamp can show the reservation was prepared in advance.

Write as a man or woman (e.g. By: John: of the family Doe), not as the ALL-CAPS NAME alone.
Reserve rights
Add “All Rights Reserved” and/or “Without Prejudice pursuant to UCC 1-308”.
Use living ink
Prefer red, blue, or purple for autographs; black is traditionally associated with debt and death.
Optional thumbprint
A red-ink thumbprint is the strongest graphic of living capacity from your hand.
